It’s unbelievable that the battery is still more than half full while using Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and Twitter. Apparently, the Unihertz Tank has more than 20,000 mAh, because it offers 150 hours of talk time and an impressive 75 days of standby time! Isn’t that great?

We’ve seen many rugged models with good rugged features that overlook other aspects of the average smartphone user experience. But in addition to top-notch rugged features, on the Unihertz Tank you’ll also find a practical camera system that includes a 108 MP primary camera and IR night vision camera. In our limited experience, we were impressed with its excellent balance of ruggedness and practicality.
By far, the Unihertz Tank’s camera system is the best of any rugged phone we’ve experienced. Surprisingly, it comes with a 108MP primary camera, another 20MP IR camera for night vision and a 2MP macro sensor, which sounds even better than some regular phones.

The phone is IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810G certified. So not only is it water and dust-resistant but it is certified for more rigorous use. You really don’t need to baby this phone.
TANK’s processor is MediaTek Helio G99 (MT6789), which has a GPU based on a new architecture. Valhall is the new architecture they use in MediaTek Helio G99. The GPU is also manufactured using 12Nm technology. TANK’s large storage capacity is built for the smooth running of different applications, especially games, and with a 60Hz screen refresh rate, the daily using experience will be a step up from other rugged phones.
As a rugged phone, the Unihertz Tank far exceeded our expectations. In addition to being rugged, this phone often surprised us with other features without notice. This is definitely the most interesting rugged phone we’ve reviewed this year.
